Enhancing End-to-End Container Visibility at the Port Through Technology

Less than a year ago, the Port of Los Angeles and GE Transportation launched a firt-of-its kind digital solution to keep cargo flowing efficiently through America's largest contaier port. The goal of the pilot project was to provide maritime supply chain partners greater reliability, predictability and line-of-sight planning capabilities. For the first time, through the portal's digital interface, participating cargo owners, shipping lines, and other stakeholders have access to channeled maritime  shipping data through a single, secure access point.
