CSCMP – Southern California Roundtable is proud to announce its 2016 Scholarship Competition. Scholarships of $2,000 will be awarded to promising undergraduate and/or masters level students, as well as scholarships of $1,000 will be awarded to promising community college students, from a Southern California college or university (Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and Bernardino or Ventura Counties). These are cash grants that can be used for any bona de educational purpose.

To Qualify

Students should be pursuing studies in business, engineering, economics, and public policy, plus others with a demonstrated interest in a career in supply chain management, logistics, transportation, distribution, or a closely related field 


Applicants must not have previously received a scholarship award from the Roundtable, although applicants who have received travel awards for the CSCMP Global Conference are eligible.

How to Apply

Send a letter of application to the e-mail address below. Letters are at most 2 pages, and must contain:

- Complete contact information
- Work and academic history
- Current work, academic affiliation and standing
- Degree objective with expected date of graduation
- Current GPA

The letter should also describe your civilian, military, or academic work history, previous college attendance, and any project work, personal activities, or other evidence of your suitability and interest in a career in the supply chain industry. There needs to be evidence that the student is already engaged in and has a good understanding of supply chain. There needs to be some kind of focus on how you plan to achieve a career in supply chain or further an already existing career in supply chain and how this scholarship will further that end.

You must also include a letter of recommendation from a faculty member or professional colleague familiar with your history, your academic career, or your career goals, who should comment on your academic performance and career potential in supply chain. Lastly, you should describe how you will use the scholarship money in detail and how it fullls a need.

All materials must be received by November 11, 2016. Email submission is required. Late applications cannot be accepted. Materials will not be returned. Scholarship recipients will be recognized at the SoCal Roundtable annual scholarship event on December 7, 2016. Each recipient will be required to attend a local CSCMP event and speak about their experience to the attendees prior to receiving the funds.
